EICR Testing

EIC Certificates

Mandatory certification for new electrical installations, rewires, and major alterations.

What is an EIC?

An Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) is a safety certificate issued by a registered electrician upon the completion of any new substantial electrical work. It confirms that the work has been designed, constructed, and inspected in compliance with the UK national standard BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).

Unlike an EICR (which checks existing systems), an EIC is a declaration that the new work is safe at the time it was put into service.

When is an EIC Required?

You need an EIC if you are having any of the following work done:

Full or partial rewiring of a property.
Installation of a new consumer unit (fuse box).
Adding a new circuit (e.g., for a shower, cooker, or extension).
Electric Vehicle (EV) charger installation.

Discovery & Safety

Inspections involve a thorough investigation that includes visual inspection and instrument tests of wiring, connections, devices, plugs, sockets, and components.

Protect your investment: Ensuring new work is certified prevents future problems, costly repairs, and potential safety hazards like fire or shock. It also provides documentary evidence of compliance for future property sales or insurance claims.

Logistics & Parking

Please note that our prices exclude parking fees, Congestion Charge, and ULEZ charges. These will be added to the invoice where applicable. Our engineers require available parking within a reasonable distance of the property.
